The Acaso Story
1975
Rocio begins her studies as a pattern-maker in a convent in Quito, Ecuador. The nuns of the convent encouraged her to pursue a career in fashion.
1985
Rocio immigrates to America and begins working in quality control at a garment factory in Brooklyn. Her sister Maria immigrates nine years later, and Maria begins working at the same factory as a seamstress.
2000
Maria opens up her own garment factory with her two sisters, Rocio and Conchita, with a focus on women's and children's clothing. Within three years, the factory takes on bigger clients, including international brands such as Mango and Von Dutch.
2008
The Great Recession happens and orders begin slowing down from big brands. Maria's factory pivots to serving smaller, local brands in NYC.
2022
Maria's son, Fernando moves back to New York with his wife, Camille. After eight years in the Bay Area's tech industry, they have returned to push the factory into the modern era.
Made in Brooklyn
The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce recognizes Acaso Inc. as a gold status certified entity for manufacturing our products locally in South Brooklyn, NYC.
FAQs
Why use a pre-order model?
A pre-order model reduces textile waste since only the garments produced are the ones that you have purchased :) Because we make each garment to order, we spend more time to ensure each garment is given the love and care required to craft a high quality piece.
What is your return policy?
Proper fit is incredibly important to us. You have 7 days from the time your order is delivered to exchange for a different size. All our clothing is made-to-order, so we do not accept returns for refunds.
When will I receive my garment?
Your order will be processed as part of our batch production model. You can expect to receive your unique fashion piece within 2-4 weeks of placing your order. Thank you for your patience and trust in Acaso!
Where are the garments produced, and who makes them?
The factory is located in Brooklyn, NY. Seamstresses with over 20 years of experience carefully craft each garment.
